Indian Bread ~ Chapatis

Ingredients:

  • 170g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 20ml oil
  • 50ml water

 

Indian Bread ~ Chapatis
Method:
  1. Sift the flour and salt together into a bowl, add oil and water.
  2. Mix well and knead until the dough feels firm and elastic.
    Divide into 4 parts and allow it to rest for 10 minutes
  3. Take one part of the dough and roll out like a small plate.
    Brush with oil and roll up into a ball again.
  4. Do this twice more. (Allow to rest)
  5. Roll each ball into a flat chapati and dust with flour.
  6. Heat the oven at 200'C and bake chapatis till both sides are brown and crisp.
