Bread ~ Chapatis
 
  • 170g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 20ml oil
  • 50ml water
  • Sift the flour and salt together into a bowl, add oil and water.
  • Mix well and knead until the dough feels firm and elastic.
  • Divide into 4 parts and allow it to rest for 10 minutes
  • Take one part of the dough and roll out like a small plate.
  • Brush with oil and roll up into a ball again.
  • Do this twice more. (Allow to rest)
  • Roll each ball into a flat chapati and dust with flour.
  • Heat the oven at 200'C and bake chapatis till both sides are brown and crisp.
