Bolognese Sauce for Spaghetti

Ingredients:

  • 1/2dl olive oil
  • 25g butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 stick celery, chopped
  • 400g minced beef
  • 150g streaky bacon chopped
  • 1 tbsp tomato pure
  • 2dl red wine
  • 5dl beef stock
  • 40g grated parmesan
Beef Bolognese Sauce
Method:
  • Heat the oil and butter in a pan, add the onions, celery and garlic and cook without colour.
  • Add beef, bacon, season with salt and pepper and cook until lightly coloured, mixing frequently.
  • Add to the pan tomato pure, wine, and stock. Mix together, bring to the boil and simmer gently approx.50min.
  • Adjust the seasoning as necessary. Serve on hot plate with pasta of you choice and grated parmesan.
