Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
- 25g butter
- 20g plain flour
- 20 g tomato paste
- salt to taste
- 200ml water or stock
|
Method:
- Melt butter and add flour.
- Cook gently to sandy texture, without colour, stirring frequently.
- Add tomato paste, salt and water or stock.
- Reduce to simmer for 10-15 minutes stirring frequently.
- Strain and use as required.
