Sweet Recipes: Vanila Ice Cream

 

Ingredients:
  • 1 litre milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanila
  • 300 gms caster sugar
  • 10 egg yolks
  • 300 mls cream

Method:

  1. Bring milk to the boil and add vanila.
  2. Combine sugar and egg yolks and whisk adding milk.
  3. Cook gently, stirring with wooden spoon constantly until thickened.
  4. Place over ice to cool down, stir occasionally.
  5. Add cream, mix and pour into ice churn and place in a freezer.
